Introduction

Hello, and welcome family and friends!

My name is Courtney, and I'm going to be updating this blog as a way for us to keep in touch and share pictures. I'd like to thank Billy for asking me to do this. I feel honored, and I'm very excited about it! Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm the girlfriend of Seth E. (son of David and Jody E.) and the mother of our son, Eli Richard E. Seth and I live in Sardis, right up the road from Dave and Jody. I work as a nurse's aid and I'm going to school full-time to become an RN--that should take about 3 years. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to movies, shopping, taking pictures on my new camera, baking, playing games, and spending time outside walking or relaxing.

So, here is how I thought this could work. If you have any information you would like to share with the family--be it a picture, your child's team won a game, a job promotion, a birth, an engagement, anything!--e-mail me and I can update the site. My e-mail address is cesmith1@mail.wvncc.edu. No update is too small. The more participants we have on this blog, the better it will serve its purpose-- to stay in touch! And by the way, I hope everyone likes the name I picked out for the blog. I literally spent an hour trying to think of something clever, and this was the best I could come up with. I was trying to make a play on the fact that we always seem to play cards when we get together.

If you would like to make a comment on any of the posts, all you have to do is create a Google account by clicking here, or you can post as "anonymous" and sign your post so we all know who you are. :-) I'm going to keep last names out of the posts for privacy issues. I especially don't want to include last names in any of the captions for the kids' pictures. I will include the initial, to help jog your memory a bit, but if anyone has an issue with that, just let me know.

If you have any questions or feedback, please e-mail me or comment this post.
